Which Lenovo laptops are the best?
We review a large number of laptops here at TechRadar - including Lenovo machines, and we've definitely got a few recommendations for our readers.
First up, the Lenovo IdeaPad Duet Chromebook is a great choice if you're looking for a machine that covers the basics on a budget. This tiny 10-inch machine straddles the middle ground between a tablet and a Chromebook, offering enough power for simple web browsing tasks while offering incredible battery life and portability. It's also really cheap, especially if you catch it on sale via a coupon code or such.
Next up, we'd also recommend the Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 3 Chromebook as another great low-cost option for the basics. This one features a more traditional laptop-style form factor and is surprisingly good quality for the price. It's again a more budget-orientated machine that's made for the basics, but it does this well with all-day battery life and a useful touchscreen.
If you're looking for an ultrabook, then we'd recommend the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 9. This line of machines is particularly popular in the business world but we think they're great for anyone who needs a powerful machine with a high-quality, lightweight build. They come in a range of configurations but always retain a super-slim design, plenty of ports, and an excellent keyboard that's one of the best in the business.
Are Lenovo laptops good for gaming?
In addition to making machines for business or casual use, Lenovo also makes some great laptops for gaming. One of our favorites here at TechRadar is the Lenovo Legion 5 Pro, which is one of the more "reasonably" priced gaming laptops in the range. While it's a bit on the chunky side, it's usually packing in some absolutely fantastic specs for the price.
Another great option is the Lenovo Legion 7, which is a more premium option. This one features a flashier design complete with RGB lighting and comes packed with the latest and most high-end components you'll find don't the market. Subsequently, this one can be pricey, although gamers with a bit of cash to spend will appreciate this one.
Does Lenovo do trade ins?
Yes - Lenovo runs its own trade-in program that you can use to not only recycle your old tech, but get some discounts on a brand new laptop. Unlike with some stores, Lenovo's own trade-in program offers Visa gift cards, which can be redeemed at not just Lenovo itself but any eligible store where Visa cards are accepted.
Does Lenovo price match?
Lenovo will price match not only its own products, but comparable models from HP or Dell as long as it's on a nationally recognized online retailer. These retailers include Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, Micro Center, and Newegg, among others like Staples or B&H Photo.
To start your price match guarantee, you'll need to provide the machine specs and an online link to the model in question to Lenovo Sales. Note that the usual exceptions apply here, like special discount offers, gift card offers, coupons, and the product in question must be brand new also.
Does Lenovo offer free shipping?
Nearly all items on the Lenovo Store are eligible for free delivery. If you're shopping for a new laptop or desktop, you'll get free standard delivery at no extra cost, even after applying a coupon. Phones, tablets, and even smaller accessories like mice are also eligible for free standard delivery.

📆 Wait for a big retail event
While there are often exceptions, generally speaking the best discounts at the Lenovo Store will be concentrated around big retail events like Black Friday. If you're coming up to one of these events - like Presidents' Day, Labor Day, or even Amazon Prime Day, then it's a great idea to wait it out to see what crops up. This is particularly the case if you're shopping around the end of the year as Black Friday and Cyber Monday in November tend to be particularly good if you're on the hunt for discounted tech.
💻 Check out the clearance section
The official Lenovo Store has a fantastic (and expansive) clearance section that you can check out all year round. It's not uncommon to find relatively new and decent models with hefty clearance deals as Lenovo makes way for the latest and greatest on its store pages. If you're not fussed about getting a machine with the latest generation processor or graphics card, then this can be an absolutely fantastic way to save on your next machine.
♻ Trade in your old tech
Save the planet and some cash by trading in your old unwanted tech. Lenovo operates its own trade-in program that will give you prepaid Visa cards in exchange for old electronics (not just laptops). Interestingly, the prepaid card here is a generic Visa card as opposed to store credit, so it can be redeemed at a wide range of online stores.

If you're eligible for any one of these discounts, you could potentially get an extra saving of up to 5% on your order. How to use Lenovo promo codes
Lenovo usually automatically applies a coupon code before you hit checkout. There is, however, a field at checkout where you can manually input a code if you need to. This is found in the last stage of checkout under the "Have a discount?" field. You can simply paste a Lenovo coupon code into there and it'll not only apply the relevant discount but override an automatically assigned code if there is one.
