Cyber Monday gaming deals are here and, while we've seen gaming deals land throughout last week and into Black Friday weekend, now could be your last chance to grab a major discount during this year's sale period.

We'll likely only see these Cyber Monday deals end at the close of the day on November 28, so if you see something you like, you shouldn't hesitate too long. The deal may end or go out of stock.

This year's Cyber Monday gaming deals include steep savings on gear, games, and bundles for Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch OLED, and PS5. With so many deals up for grabs right now, we've put together this live blog to share the biggest and best discounts in the US and UK as we spot them, as well as occasional advice and warnings about what you should and shouldn’t impulse buy when it comes to gaming hardware.

If you have a particular platform in mind, however, then you should check our Cyber Monday PS5 deals, Cyber Monday Nintendo Switch deals, and Cyber Monday Xbox Series X deals pages. We also have pages for the best Cyber Monday Oculus Quest 2 deals and Cyber Monday gaming chairs deals pages. We’ll be updating these pages consistently today but, for the most up-to-date feed of deals, keep your eyes here on the live blog.

PS5

Let's kick things off with the best Cyber Monday PS5 deals we've seen so far. In the case of Sony's console, we aren't just flagging the (admittedly few) discounts available, but also giving shout-outs to which retailers have the hardware in stock.  After all, it's still surprisingly hard to lay your hands on one of the machines.

PS5 + God of War Ragnarok + DualSense controller: was $634.98 now $609.98 at AntOnline (opens in new tab)
Save $25 -
While not much of a saving, this bundle comes with one of the best games on the PS5 and an extra controller. What you're really paying for here is the chance to skip the queues and the need for an invitation. If you've been waiting on a PS5, here's your chance to pick one up.

PS5 Digital Horizon Forbidden West Bundle: $449.99 at Amazon (opens in new tab)

PS5 Digital Horizon Forbidden West Bundle: $449.99 at Amazon (opens in new tab)
Although this is less of a deal and more of a roll of the dice, this PS5 Digital Edition + Horizon Forbidden West bundle is excellent value for money at just under $450. While this is a by-invitation-only offer, we think it's worth throwing your hat in the ring to get the console and one of the generation's best games.

Microsoft has done a much better job of keeping its Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S consoles available, not just over this Black Friday weekend, but throughout the year. While we've seen the full-fat Xbox Series X disappear from some shops, it's usually been available somewhere.

The real MVP of this week has been the Xbox Series S, the digital-only sibling of the Xbox Series X. Microsoft has discounted the console by $50, and we've seen that deal picked up at Amazon, Best Buy (opens in new tab), and Walmart (opens in new tab) all weekend.

Two Nintendo Switch OLED consoles on a desktop

When it comes to console discounts, the Cyber Monday Nintendo Switch deals have been the standout this year. Yes, the console has been around longer than both the PS5 and Xbox Series X, but with near-constant demand for Nintendo's nifty hybrid home and handheld console, we could easily have seen stock shortages or only minor discounts.

Instead, there have been some excellent bundles that have paired the console with some of the best Nintendo Switch games.

If you're in the market for a new Xbox Wireless Controller, which you'll be able to use with an Xbox Series X|S, and your PC, then there's currently a great deal on at Lenovo.

The store has reduced the gamepad from $59.99 to $39.99 (opens in new tab). Better yet you can get an extra $5 if you apply the coupon code 'GAMERSAVER', bringing it down to $34.99

Xbox Series X gift cards

(Image credit: David Cardinez / Shutterstock.com)

While I'm out here trying to find specific deals, you can sort your own discount by using a reduced gift card. Over at Target, you can but an $25 Xbox gift card for just $20 (opens in new tab), a 20% discount. Use that to buy a $25 game and you basically just bought it for $20, in effect applying your own 20% discount to a game of your choice.

It appears it's only the $25 card that's on offer, but there's nothing stopping you from stacking them.

Save 20% - Whenever you get a reduced Xbox gift card, you are effectively getting free money and the ability to apply a discount to anything in the Xbox Store. Don't like the price of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, buy it with a couple of these to get 20% off the sale price.

MicroSD card

When it comes to Cyber Monday gaming deals, your first thought may be discounts on consoles, cheap games, or straight up weird peripherals that are cut to such low prices you just have to give them a punt. However, what I'll recommend again and again in this live blog are cheap storage options.

Games are getting bigger and onboard memory in consoles is not keeping up. This means more and more of our time is redownloading games we deleted to make space for other games. It's a dull shuffle using up time we could have spent gaming. That's why increasing your Nintendo Switch's storage capacity with a Micro SD card is a seriously good purchase, especially when we've never seen such a deep discount on a 1TB microSD card.

On Amazon Right now, and for one day more only, you can get a SanDisk 1TB microSD card for just $99.99. That is a silly low price for that much storage. If you buy one thing for your Nintendo Switch this Cyber Monday, this should probably be it.

. Now $99 at Amazon (opens in new tab)

Massively increase your Nintendo Switch's storage capacity with this 1TB microSD card, it will let you install a stack more games, keeping you gaming and not redownloading games.

Someone installing a WD Black SN850 PS5 SSD

Continuing in the vein of recommending storage options, one of the top things you can buy for your PS5 isn't a new DualSense wireless controller or a Pulse 3D wireless headset (though both are, admittedly, great), it's an internal SSD.

The PS5's superfast Solid State Drive loads game data incredibly quickly, eliminating most loading screens and letting you transfer between games quickly. The drawback, however, is that it's not particularly large. The PS5 only really lets you install 600GB or so of games. This means, now that many games are more than 100GB, you can only have a few installed at any one time.

The solution is installing an additional SSD, it's a surprisingly easy process, just slotting it into a slot in the console. The problem is getting your hands on one for cheap. These are often very expensive components, but in the Cyber Monday deals, we're seeing quite a few of the best SSD for PS5 discounted to great prices.

For example, the WD_BLACK 1TB SN850X NVMe Internal Gaming SSD is going for just $109.99 (opens in new tab), down from its usual $179.99. We've seen a few drives go for even less, but they look to have dropped out of stock. If they come back on, I'll share them here, but for now, maybe don't wait, as this deal may run out soon, too.

WD_BLACK 1TB SN850X NVMe SSD: was (opens in new tab)

WD_BLACK 1TB SN850X NVMe SSD: was $180 now $109.99 at Amazon (opens in new tab)
Save $70 - Western Digital excellent current-gen SSD stacks an extra 1TB of storage on top of the PS5's 625GB. Games installed on the SSD will also load faster, thanks to a high read speed of 7,300MB/s, an improvement over the SN850.

Gaming chair

Considering my gaming chair is a dining chair I found abandoned on a street, this is a do what I say and not what I do situation, but let me tell you, you don't want to skimp when it comes to your spine. If you spend a lot of time at your desk gaming and working, then you should look into investing in a supportive ergonomic chair.

Unfortunately, the best of them can be a significant outlay. The good news is a good chair should last you years, but even so, if you can pick one up at a discount, then you can save hundreds of dollars.

We're collecting together a large selection on our Cyber Monday gaming chair deals hub, but here are a few of the best at different price points.

Arozzi Mugello Special Edition Gaming Chair | was $280 (opens in new tab)

Arozzi Mugello Special Edition Gaming Chair | was $280 now $179.99 at Best Buy (opens in new tab)
Save $100 - This is one of the cheapest prices that we've witnessed on the Arozzi Mugello Special Edition to date. This chair generally hasn't hovered under the $200 mark much in 2022, so this could be a worthwhile investment.

AKRacing Core Series EX Gaming Chair | was $399 now $269 at Best Buy (opens in new tab)
Save $130 - This is a massive discount on the AKRacing Core Series EX which takes the chair itself down to well under the $300 mark. We can't say that this has happened much in the past, so it could be worth rolling the dice on it here.

PS5 Pulse 3D wireless headset

"Okay, Jules," you shout at your screen. "I've got an SSD for my PS5, what now?". Well, I'm glad you asked so shoutily.

While one of the best SSD for PS5 is your first port of call, the next add-on you can buy for your console that will significantly improve your gaming experience is... still isn't a second DualSense controller. Sorry co-op buddies, the focus is on solo gaming first.

You want to consider getting yourself a headset that provides 3D audio. When Sony first revealed the PS5, it bigged up the console's SSD and its immersive sound. Thing is, while you feel the benefits of the SSD with every game, you only get to experience 3D audio with a compatible TV or headset. And it really is a game-changing feature.

However, while 3D audio is available on some televisions, that's quite an expensive way to access the feature, it's much more affordable to get yourself a decent headset – especially when they're in the Cyber Monday deals.

We highly recommend Sony's own PS5 Pulse 3D wireless headset. Naturally, it comes with 3D audio enabled, but it's also a comfortable and stylish headset to boot. Better still, it's currently $30 off at Best Buy, selling for $69.99 (opens in new tab).

Not a fan of the Pulse 3D in white? No bother, you can get it at the same historically low price but in snazzy Midnight Black. It's our pick for the best PS5 headset, too, so you can rest assured of its quality for the budget price.

Backbone One

If you like to game on your phone, then it can be a good investment to get yourself a controller peripheral, particularly if you subscribe to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, and so have access to Xbox Cloud Gaming. With a decent gamepad, you can play through games like Halo Infinite on your phone, while your television is dominated by someone – not naming any names... Emily – who is watching Schitt's Creek from start to finish again

The Backbone One is a lovely-looking gamepad, which is always nice, but it's also a really comfortable device. It's even more tempting thanks to a $25 discount on Best Buy, bringing the controller down to $74.99 (opens in new tab). And, the controller comes bundled with a month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, too.

Oculus Quest 2

(Image credit: Yasin Hasan / Shutterstock.com)

If you've been searching for Cyber Monday Oculus Quest 2 deals, then you may have already come across this bundle. It's the same offer that Meta launched earlier this week, ahead of Black Friday. The reason I'm sharing it again is that this is very likely as good a deal as we're going to see, and if you're holding out for something better, then you may miss it if stock runs out.

The Oculus Quest 2 (128 GB) edition, bundled with copies of Beat Saber and Resident Evil 4 VR, two of the best games on the VR headset, is currently selling for $349 (opens in new tab). That's a $50 discount on the headset's RRP, without throwing in Resident Evil.

Yes, this is more than the Oculus Quest 2 sold for before its price was hiked earlier this year, but we're unlikely to see a price drop any time soon, so this is the deal that's on the table. If you want an Oculus Quest 2 and don't want to wait for the much more expensive Meta Quest Pro or PSVR 2, then this isn't a deal to wait on.

Xbox Series S

(Image credit: Mohd Syis Zulkipli / Shutterstock.com)

If you can't get your hands on an Xbox Series X, the Xbox Series S may be quite a tempting alternative. After all, the Series X is a full $200 more expensive, and the Xbox Series S isn't a significantly weaker console. It still boasts a 512GB SSD, can run games at 1440p, and is a much smaller device.

If you're looking for the most powerful machine, to play your games in 4K, and experience Dolby Atmos audio, then, yes, you should get the Xbox Series X, but, if you just want access to the current generation of the best Xbox Series X games and you're not fussed about the screen resolution, then you should strongly consider getting an Xbox Series S.

Especially when they're on an offer like this one: currently, you can get an Xbox Series S on Amazon for $249.99 (opens in new tab), and it comes bundled with $40 of Amazon store credit.

For a more detailed breakdown of the consoles, we've put together an Xbox Series X vs Xbox Series S piece that goes into a lot of detail.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 isn't even a month old and it's already got a significant discount as part of the Cyber Monday deals, coming down to just $55 (opens in new tab) at Walmart. $15 off its $69.99 RRP isn't something to be sniffed at for sure.

If you're looking for a premium headset, and we're talking top shelf here, then you may be interested in Amazon's deal on the Bang & Olufsen Beoplay Portal for PS5 and PC. They've had a $200 discount, taking them down to $299 (opens in new tab).

In our Bang & Olufsen Beoplay Portal review, we said that  "The Bang & Olufsen Beoplay Portal is a beautifully crafted headset that offers supreme comfort and excellent audio quality. It’s also one of the few gaming headsets to offer active noise cancellation, and doesn’t look out of place when worn outside of the home."

So, if you're in the market for premium, here it is at a sizeable discount.

Hello, hello! And Happy Cyber Monday! It's Vic Hood, TRG's Associate Editor, here with you for the next few hours. It's certainly been a busy ol' week for gaming deals but the fun isn't over yet. Cyber Monday is officially here and with it comes a bunch of new discounts.

Well, that's what we're hoping anyway. To be honest, a lot of the best deals I'm seeing right now are ones from Black Friday that are still available now. But as long as you can reap some savings from them, it doesn't really matter if they're officially part of Cyber Monday or not.

What I am particularly  keeping an eye on today is whether we're seeing any deeper discounts, particularly on console bundles. But I'll also be highlighting any fantastic gaming deals that are still available.

If you've been holding out for further price drops, then today's prices are what you should be taking note of. But often stock on Cyber Monday is a bit more limited than during Black Friday so if you spot something you like here then we advise scooping it up while you still can.

Xbox controller in a stand

What can make a great Cyber Monday Xbox controller deal even better? A discounted charging stand, that's what. Fortunately, we're seeing a couple of notable discounts right now on Razer Xbox gamepad charging stands in the US, including a $15 price cut for the funky Forza Horizon 5 model.

Whether you're on the hunt for a PlayStation 5 or have just got your hands on Sony's coveted console, you'll want to avoid these 6 common errors people make with the PS5.

After all, the PS5 isn't exactly easy to come by and the last thing you want is to spend extra money on things you don't need, waste storage space, or (god forbid) break the thing.

Seagate Expansion Card with a 'Don't Miss' Badge beside it

It can be a real pain having to delete games off of your Xbox Series X or Xbox Series S, in order to make space for new ones. The Seagate Xbox Storage Expansion Card makes that less of a problem, letting you expand your Xbox storage without hassle – simply slide it into the back of your console.

The downside is this handy card is pretty expensive. That’s why I’m relieved to see this discount on the 1TB version is still available for Cyber Monday. Right now there’s £35 off the Seagate Xbox Expansion Card (opens in new tab) at Amazon in the UK, bringing the price down to £184.99. In the US, there’s $20 off the Expansion Card (opens in new tab), making it just under $200.

That’s still pretty pricey, but I’m hoping we see the price drop further towards the end of this week – especially as we’ve seen it reach £164.99/$189.99 previously. I’ve personally got one of these cards and find the extra 1TB storage it adds to the Xbox Series X’s 1TB means that I rarely have to delete games off my console (unless I go on an Xbox Game Pass downloading spree).

Right now Amazon in the US is offering three select board games for the price of two. The deal includes some of the best board games and the best card games around, including Catan, Exploding Kittens, Codenames, Mysterium, Gloomhaven, and Ticket to Ride.

To get the deal, all you have to do is add the three games from the list you want to your basket and then the discount should be applied at checkout. Easy peasy. Unfortunately, this is a US-only deal.

Sonic Frontiers

Sonic Frontiers only released recently but we're already seeing some fantastic discounts on Sonic's latest outing on all platforms in the US (unfortunately all these deals are sold out in the UK).

In our Sonic Frontiers review, our resident Sonic fan Rhys Wood said:

"Sonic Frontiers is a bold new direction for the struggling hedgehog, and thankfully, one that’s paid off. Zipping across lush, open maps at ludicrous speeds is exhilarating. It’s fueled by a gameplay loop that encourages tearing up and down each island, ticking off as many challenges as you want. It may be a touch rough around the edges, but Sonic Frontiers marks a triumphant return to form."

While built-for mobile games are naturally getting better with each passing year, the growing quality of Xbox Cloud Gaming and PS5 Remote Play is turning phones into excellent consoles on the go. So long as you have a good internet connection, you can stream games to your phone, letting you play titles far beyond the capabilities of your handset. However, most of those games won't support touch controls so you'll need to connect a gamepad via Bluetooth or get a mobile gaming controller.

While there are more premium options out there, like the Backbone One, there's a cheap and cheerful bundle at Costco, that nets you a Razer Kishi mobile gaming controller and a pair of Razer Hammerhead true wireless earbuds for less than $50 (opens in new tab).

Old man looks at the future

Vic Hood studying the fine print of the Oculus Quest 2 deal (Image credit: Steve Heap / Shutterstock.com)

There's only been one discount worth shouting about in the Cyber Monday Oculus Quest 2 deals, it knocks $50 (opens in new tab) off the standard price and bundles the VR headset with two great games, Beat Saber and Resident Evil 4 VR.

Though, our own Vic Hood isn't impressed. "While this is a good deal for an Oculus Quest 2 bundle right now," she writes in her analysis. "Let's not forgot that the VR headset got a $100/£100 price hike earlier this year. So, in reality, these bundles aren't good value for money, in some cases, they actually cost more than the individual items would have before the price hike."

Have a closer look at the bundles below.

Person playing a PS5

Something that's been telling over the last week is the absence of good Cyber Monday PS5 deals. Sony's console has been in stock this year, which is a step up over last year's showing, but it's been basically full price everywhere we've seen.

To me, the lack of Black Friday and Cyber Monday PS5 deals is telling. Considering this year, Sony hiked the price of the PS5, in regions outside the US, it felt like this would have been a perfect moment to bring in a brief sale. A short discount window to bring the hardware back to pre-price hike levels, similar to the Cyber Monday Oculus Quest 2 deals Meta's been running. As well as a $50 discount, you can buy the hardware bundled with two of the VR headset's best games. (Although, the deal isn't quite as good as it first appears.)

Microsoft hasn't ruled out an Xbox Series X|S price hike in 2023, which makes the current discounts on hardware stand out. This isn't the retailers setting the discount either, Microsoft has led the price drop from its own website. You can get the Xbox Series S for $50 (opens in new tab) / £60 (opens in new tab) off.

It all show Sony is out of touch.

In a move that's surprised everyone on the team, Elie has revealed they bought Pokémon Legends: Arceus not once, but four times in the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales.

"If you had told me last week that all I would be coming out of Black Friday with was four copies of the same game, a desk mat, and a T-shirt that says ‘the sea is a lie’, I wouldn’t be that surprised, but I’d tell you I thought I was going to get more," Elie writes.

Have you bought anything in the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales multiple times over? I've bought 48 rolls of toilet paper, but they all come in one box, so I think that doesn't count.

You can see below how cheaply you can pick up Pokémon Legends in your region.

Super Mario Odyssey

When talking about the best Nintendo Switch games, I'll almost always default to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. I adored the original Zelda on the NES, and love this circling back to that origin. But, I think there's a danger of forgetting the other exceptional early doors Nintendo Switch classic – Super Mario: Odyssey.

I think the reason I tend to forget it is that, on its surface, Super Mario: Odyssey seems almost too much like a good time. Breath of the Wild has this serious, foreboding edge to it. It's a grand epic. In Mario, you turn into a dinosaur by throwing your hat at it.

But, underneath that colorful charm is an excellent 3D platformer with genius ideas popping out of it, like coins from a headbutted brick.

You can currently pick Super Mario: Odyssey up from Walmart for just $37.81 (opens in new tab). It's an oddly precise reduction, but then it's an oddly precise game, so it seems fitting.

Xbox Series S

While Sony let the side down by producing no discounts for the PS5, not even knocking the price of the PS5 Digital Edition, our hardware editor Aleksha makes a strong case for why Microsoft won the Black Friday and Cyber Monday weekend with its Xbox Series S deals.

"t's important to remember exactly what the Xbox Series S represents for the console market," Aleksha argues. "The sole intention of the system was to provide a capable yet inexpensive way to play the latest Xbox Series X games with only a couple of budgetary considerations. That's because the system runs at 1440p instead of 4K resolution and targets performance instead of visual fidelity.

The system is less powerful but provides a widely more available way for families and younger people to game without having to fork over double the costs for that extra resolution boost. The Xbox Series S is a solid performer if you're less concerned with bleeding-edge visuals and physical discs. "

It's easy to see why when you see the price the console is going for.

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate

(Image credit: Eric Broder Van Dyke / Shutterstock.com)

Xbox Game Pass is straight up one of the most cost-effective ways to play a lot of games. The monthly subscription gets you access to a catalog of hundreds of games, and the stock is constantly being updated and expanded. An Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription lets you also play those games on PC, and it enables Xbox Cloud Gaming, so you can stream many of those games to a stack of different devices.

Normally Xbox Game Pass Ultimate costs $14.99 a month, but Microsoft is running a short time introductory offer, giving you a month's access for just $1 (opens in new tab). After that first month, your membership will revert to the original price, so set a date to remind yourself to choose whether to continue with the service or not.

Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2

(Image credit: Syafiq Adnan / Shutterstock.com)

The Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 is not a necessary peripheral. I want to get that out early on. I've spent a lot of time over the last couple of days recommending SSDs, 3D audio headsets, microSD cards, gaming chairs, and the like because they will substantially change your gaming experience.

SSDs and microSDs offer quality-of-life improvements, 3D audio-enabled headsets let you hear things in games you simply can't access without them, and a gaming chair can save you from long-term health issues. A premium gamepad doesn't do those things, but it does feel great to hold in your hand, and it lets you customize different elements, like the thumbsticks, D-pads, and paddles, to make it more comfortable when playing for longer.

The Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 is the gold standard of first-party premium gamepads, and it's currently discounted on Amazon for $164.99 (opens in new tab), $15 off its normal price. We have seen it cheaper before, but, as we get to the end of Cyber Monday, if you are in the market for Cyber Monday Xbox Controller deals, this certainly is one.

Nintendo Switch OLED

As we go into the final hours of the Cyber Monday deals, let's look ahead to what you might do with your fancy new gaming hardware when it arrives. Say the Cyber Monday Nintendo Switch deals appealed, and you nabbed yourself a fancy Nintendo Switch OLED, well, what games could you get that will show off the console's snazzy screen in the best light?

Happily, Elie's got you covered there. They've picked out the first 3 games you need to play on your Nintendo Switch OLED. Can you guess what they are? I mean, they bought four copies of Pokémon Legends: Arceus, so I think you can make a safe bet on what one of them is...

What about if you managed to nab yourself one of the Cyber Monday PS5 deals? Well, Aleksha has you covered on that front, she's pulled together the first three games you need to play on a new PS5.

All three of them will show off what the hardware can do. While it's a safe bet that God of War Ragnarok will be on there, what else will she have picked to put the PS5 in its best light?

We're calling it quits and shutting this puppy down. All the good deals have been found, I hope we've been able to find some good deals over the last week.

But, as much as we've shown you the good deals, you may not have realized the TRG team was fearlessly keeping you safe from the bad deals, the scary deals, and the, frankly, very weird deals.

Well, to give you an inkling of the horrors we faced, Aleksha has put together the worst Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals she could find. I warn you, these are not for the faint of heart. These... are the worst Black Friday and Cyber Monday gaming deals.

Good night, and good luck.
